Specific Tasks Summit Security May Undertake

• Provide a secure and safe environment for all staff, contractors, tenants, customers and visitors to the security site and associated building or entertainment complexes as deemed appropriate.
• Protect all assets and property of the security site from theft, misuse, vandalism and damage.
• Undertake patrols of the security site, car parks, associated buildings or entertainment complex, to identify and deter security and safety risks.
• Undertake loss prevention activities to reduce the incidence of shop theft and crime within the security site and associated building and entertainment complex.
• Create an environment, which fosters crime reduction.
• Provide advice to the security site Management when security risks are identified.
• Undertake escort procedures for the security site as required.
• Where necessary undertake the apprehension, and processing to police, of offenders detected in the commission of criminal activities against the security site, its tenants, customers, contractors and visitors.
• Implement crowd control procedures and access control measures to ensure the safety of staff, tenants, customers and others.
• Implement after hours access control procedures and lock down of the security site and associated buildings and entertainment complex as required and directed.
• Ensure that all staff, tenants, contractors, customers and visitors as appropriate follow procedures and policies relevant to the conduct of security in the security site.
• Report identified breaches of security to the security site Manager.
• Implement the security site security and event incident reporting procedures in accordance with policy.
• Liaise with police and other emergency service authorities as required by Policy.
• Assist in the implementation of the security site fire, evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Monitor and operate as required Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems and intruder Alarm Systems within the security site, associated buildings and complex as applicable.
• Greet, direct and assist customers, contractors and visitors.
• Utilize and operate radios, telephone systems and public address systems as required.
• Provide regular briefings and information to the security site Manager regarding operational activities, issues and matters that have bearing on the security and overall safety of the security site, associated buildings and entertainment complex as appropriate.
• Undertaking other duties as directed.
